A few years ago, Dan Hill’s then 11-year-old daughter, Lauren, decided that she wanted to play lacrosse. Although Hill was happy to let her play, he was not particularly fond of making the long drive to Scottsdale for practices and games.
Katey McPherson, executive director of The Gurian Institute on Bullying McPherson is a mom to four young daughters and spent 20 years as a public school teacher and administrator. During that time, she says she “saw a need for ways to teach students more self-advocacy and social competence skills.”
