Join the Chandler Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting at Young Orthodontics

On Oct. 24th at 4 p.m., celebrate with Dr. Aubrey Young and her team with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Young Orthodontics, 1055 W. Queen Creek Road, Ste. 5. Dr. Young is passionate about orthodontics and helping people feel confident about their smiles and overall health, and has affectionately been caring for patients at Chamberlain-Young Orthodontics for the last five years. She recently purchased the practice and is now proud to introduce Young Orthodontics.

Dr. Young “feels blessed to be able to serve our amazing Chandler community” and looks forward to many years of sharing her knowledge and skills and giving back to the community. The event will feature appetizers and refreshments, special incentives on services, and raffle prizes.

Teacher Receives Help With Automobile

Carol Rix, a teacher’s aide with Bright Beginnings Charter K-6, stopped by Desert Car Care of Chandler’s Back to School Teacher Appreciation event, where teachers received a complimentary oil change. When the inspection and oil change were performed, a fuel pump leak was found.

Carol, a widow, was visibly upset as she discussed the cost with her family. A customer overhead and was moved to donate $500 towards the repair. Then, Joey Ciuffo, the shop’s representative with Factory Motor Parts, heard about the situation and donated the fuel pump.

In the end, the repair didn’t cost Carol anything.

The Hidden House Opens its Doors

Snuggled in the heart of historic downtown Chandler, The Hidden House (159 W. Commonwealth Ave.), welcomes you to its 1939 cottage. The chef-crafted menu offers dishes that bring Italian, Spanish and Asian flavors to contemporary American staples. Award-winning mixologists also offer an array of options, including craft canned beer, over 40 historically driven classic cocktails, custom cocktails on draft, and an 80-plus bottle wine list.

The restaurant is owned by local long-time residents Elliott and Jackie Hall, and South African-born ASU alumni Gavin Jacobs.


C2C Adds New Team Member

Concept2Completion (C2C) recently added Jillian Grammer to its team as a marketing coordinator.

Jillian recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a B.S. in communication and minor in sales and marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business. She is an audience-focused social content and digital marketing specialist and the company is “delighted to have her on team C2C.”

Jillian’s specialties include: Digital footprint creation and analytics, content and digital strategy, content creation/email marketing, reputation management and community engagement, social media management, blogging/copywriting, and SEO. 

Isola Announces New Headquarters Location in Chandler

Isola Group has completed a 118,000-square-foot lease to remain in Chandler and relocate its headquarters, R&D and manufacturing operations. The company will be moving into a newly constructed industrial building at the Lotus Project, which is located near Kyrene Road and the Loop 202 at 6565 W. Frye Road.

Isola Group is a market leader in copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs). The new state-of-the-art facility that will be optimized for the quick-turn PCB market that drives much of the product innovation in North America.

The facility, which will consolidate Isola’s headquarters, R&D and manufacturing capability, is expected to open in multiple phases beginning this month.  Isola will continue to work closely with its customers and distributors in managing the transition period to the new facility and maintaining the highest level of customer service.

AFMA Fire Corps/Sun Lakes Seeks Volunteers

The Community Assistance Program (CAP) of the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority (AFMA)/Sun Lakes Fire Corps is recruiting new volunteers. CAP includes a two-member team that are dispatched to medical calls, fires, motor vehicle accidents and other emergencies. While firefighters and medical personnel tend to the ill or injured, the CAP teams work with other family members, friends or neighbors who need assistance. They also teach classes and do community outreach.

Aquila Dental Cares Day

There’s another excuse to smile here in Chandler! Together with Dr. Shah of AZ Oral, Aquila Dental is establishing Sat., Nov. 16 as Aquila Dental Cares Day. For those in need, they can receive the practice’s most popular dental procedures at no cost. 

The event will be held at Aquila Dental’s office at 3175 S. Price Road. Anyone over the age of 18 can have an extraction, filling or cleaning. This is a first-come, first-served basis, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

Dr. Richard Higgs leads the team with Dr. Sandra Leedy in this event that makes dentistry accessible and easy. Together with the added help of Dr. Shah, the Aquila Dental team will work non-stop until 2 p.m.

The staff of dentists, hygienists and dental assistants firmly believe that days like this can make a difference in Chandler. 

“Caring for Chandler isn’t a one-person job, we’re all in this together,” says Dr. Higgs.

Dogtopia of South Chandler is Now Open

Dogtopia daycare, boarding and spa has opened at Arizona Avenue and Chandler Heights Road. The facility features three large playrooms where dogs can play every day with their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever).

Dogtopia of South Chandler is owned by husband and wife duo Michael and Susan Perlman. They are excited to own a business that will have a positive impact in their own backyard, and one that their son, Dylan, and their 13-year-old golden retriever, Lola, can also enjoy, creating a community with happy dogs and happy pet owners.
