Woofstock Puparazzi Photo Contest Ends – October 4

Stop, sit and selfie! It’s time for Woofstock’s 2nd Annual Puparazzi photo contest. If your VIP (very important pooch) has “star quality” than send in your photos. Get creative and show them what makes your four-legged friend adorable, and you could win paw-some prizes. Dr. Aubrey Young Purchases Dental Practice

Dr. Aubrey Young has been caring for patients at Chamberlain-Young Orthodontics for the last five years, and recently purchased the practice. It has now been renamed Young Orthodontics.

Dr. Young has practiced in the field for over two decades. She holds a Doctorate of Dental Medicine and a Master’s of Oral Biology, and has specialty training in orthodontics. 

She is passionate about volunteering at nonprofit clinics for the underprivileged and teaching as a dental health educator. She looks forward to many years of sharing her knowledge and skills, and giving back to Chandler. 

Fresenius Medical Care North America Moves Business Center to Chandler

Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), the country’s leading provider of kidney care products and services, is relocating a business support center to Park Place in Chandler by this fall. The opening of the new 40,000-square-foot office currently under construction at 1650 S. Price Road will host approximately 200 positions and allow for future expansion and the creation of new jobs.
This FMCNA business center will provide administrative services to more than 2,400 dialysis centers around the country. The company currently operates more than 60 centers in Arizona under its Fresenius Kidney Care division, providing high-quality home and in-center treatment options to people living with kidney failure. A regional headquarters supporting clinical operations is already located in Chandler.

Chandler Business Leader Wins National Award

Bruce Yeo, store manager of the Fry’s Marketplace located at Ocotillo and Gilbert, received the 2019 “Top Store Manager award by the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), a national trade group. He received a $1,000 prize and a crystal award at the 2019 Future Leaders eXperience event in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bruce’s commitment to creating an exceptional shopping experience and setting high standards for store conditions impacts his success. Under his leadership, the store continues to be a top-performing store for all of Fry’s. 




Michael Pollack Honored by Chamber With Prestigious Community Cup Award

Real estate entrepreneur Michael Pollack has been awarded the 2019 Community Cup by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. The Community Cup is one of the highest honors given by the 1,400-member Chandler Chamber. The award goes to individuals and organizations for their long-term volunteerism and commitments to the local community.

Michael is owner of Michael A. Pollack Real Estate Investments. The Arizona company is one of the leading commercial real estate owner/operators in the Phoenix metro area. He has long focused on refurbishing and improving existing neighborhood shopping centers throughout the Phoenix metro area. He has also done significant community and charitable work.

Mark-Taylor is Hosting A Donation Drive for Phoenix Children’s Hospital

Several Mark-Taylor apartment communities in Chandler are collecting donations for Phoenix Children’s Hospital from now until Aug. 31. Donations can be dropped off Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and on Sat. from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Donations will be used to make “love bags” for the pediatric cancer unit at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

This donation drive is in conjunction with a nonprofit WeAreLoveSociety.com, which helps parents and children in tough situations.

Mark-Taylor will be hosting a love event for children with cancer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in September (childhood cancer awareness month). They are filling 100-plus love bags at a love stuffing event. Each property has set a goal of collecting 100 items:

  • Stone Oaks: 2450 W. Pecos Road—Organic lip balm/chapstick
  • San Valencia: 11450 W. Germann Road—Kids activity books
  • Waterside at Ocotillo: 4800 S. Alma School Road—Kids card games
  • San Hacienda: 1600 N. Arizona Ave.—Kids loofahs
  • Avant Fashion Center: 555 S. Galleria Way—Kids toothbrushes

Chandler Resident Selected for 2019 Executive Energy Leadership Program

Chandler resident and SRP employee Marc Campbell was chosen as one of the 21 leaders who will participate in the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)’s 2019 Executive Energy Leadership program, which allows non-technical business, governmental, and community leaders to learn about advanced energy technologies, analytical tools, and financing to guide their organizations and communities in energy-related decisions and planning.

At the conclusion of the four-month program, participants will demonstrate what they’ve learned by presenting a feasible innovative energy project that is relevant to their organization or community.
