Take a Front Row Seat for the Chandler International Film Festival

Downtown Chandler is going Hollywood!  The Chandler International Film Festival, January 13th-15th, is an innovative celebration of cinema featuring screenings of more than 100 award-winning movies submitted by up-and-coming filmmakers.

“We are bringing in an eclectic mix of people from all over the world to Chandler to celebrate the magic of cinema and showcase our beautiful city”, said CIFF Creator and Director, Mitesh Patel, who hand-picked Chandler over several other cities vying to host the festival. “Chandler is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, but remains a tight-knit community.  Everyone has been very supportive, from the city to the business leaders and general public.  We are looking forward to being here for a very long time.”
Throughout the year, the 100 plus films selected for the festival have been submitted, screened and selected for awards such as “Best Picture of the Month” and winners are announced on the CIFF website.  All monthly “Best Picture” winners are screened at this annual event to compete for “Best of the Best Picture”, a trophy and a distribution offer.

“We want to encourage emerging movie makers to continue creating by appreciating their work and giving them the recognition they deserve”, said Patel, himself a film Producer and Director.  “We perform a comprehensive evaluation process and select the highest quality films. Only the best ones make it into the festival.”

The CIFF will kick off Friday, January 13 at 5:30 with a “CHANDLERWOOD” Red Carpet Gala, where guests will dress in formal attire and join filmmakers, actors, actresses, business leaders and city officials to walk the red carpet on their way into a welcoming cocktail party complete with hors d’oeuvres and music.

At 7pm the opening ceremony will begin with a sit down dinner, a special message from Mayor Jay Tibshraeny and a ribbon cutting with the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.  Jim Grieshaber of JAMM7 and iHeart Radio will be the emcee.

The festival also includes industry workshops and after-parties all weekend and a dinner with movie screening Saturday night.  The special Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday evening where the “Viewers Choice” award will be announced, voted on by movie-goers throughout the weekend.

“All of us at JAMM7 are honored to be a part of bringing the CIFF to our incredible city”, Grieshaber said, “It’s been an absolute blast working with Mitesh and his team.”   JAMM7 Co-Founder Melissa Anaya adds, “Get ready for an amazing weekend of food, fun, music and great movies!”

“This is a very important event for us as a city with a deep commitment to the arts”, added Terri Kimble, President and CEO of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Valley Youth Theatre, a professional-quality theatre company dedicated to helping young people achieve their full potential through meaningful engagement, education, and excellence in the performing arts.

All events will be held downtown at  SoHo 63. Tickets are on sale now at, with single admission prices starting at just $12. The GOLD PASS ($125) allows unlimited admission all weekend. VIP options are also available.
