OdySea Aquarium Grand Opening

One of Arizona’s premier attractions, the OdySea Aquarium is now open in Scottsdale. Located at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, it is the largest aquarium in the Southwest, spanning 200,000 square feet. Gold Medal Performance by The Scottsdale Chorus

The Scottsdale Chorus presents “Sing!… Party Like You Won the Gold” on Sunday, October 2nd at the Chandler Center for the Arts. The 2016 Sweet Adelines International Champion Scottsdale Chorus will take the stage to share the high-energy performance and a cappella vocal skills that propelled them to win their fifth gold medal in international competition. Sonoran Sunset Series Returns

Chandler comes to life with live music in the park on the third Thursday of each month with the return of the Sonoran Sunset Series. Head over to Veterans Oasis Park with your blankets, chairs and coolers to enjoy a free concert under the stars. Fall ‘Our Stories’ Speaker Series

Chandler’s Our Stories Speaker Series returns this fall with presentations that explore the shared history we all have through music. Our Stories is an ongoing series of Chandler and Arizona history presentations by guest speakers sharing stories and first-person accounts that are enhanced with multimedia presentations, demonstrations and music. On Saturday, October 22, The Chandler Sunset Library will host Ghost Riders in the Sky: The Story and Songs of Stan Jones, and on Saturday, October 29, Chandler Basha Library will present Swing into History. Michael Pollack Restores Chandler Shopping Center

Valley entrepreneur Michael Pollack, along with Sherwin-Williams, 3-M, and dozens of volunteers have just finished painting what will soon be the new thrift store belonging to Assistance League of the East Valley. The new space, which is located in Chandler along the west side of Alma School Road just north of Warner Road, will house an updated, newly-located thrift store for the Assistance League of the East Valley. OrthoArizona Launches New Sports Medicine Program

OrthoArizona has recently launched a new sports medicine program with the Chandler Unified School District. In partnership with Dignity Health, OrthoArizona has formed a medical team that will provide sports medicine services to five high schools and five junior high schools in the Chandler district. The sports medicine program will give student-athletes in this district services that they would see playing at the collegiate level, and tools to decrease injuries by providing education and prevention methods.
